Is it worth it anymore?

Yes, I am talking about writing on crypto social platforms like Steemit. Or for that matter Hive or Blurt or Tangled. I mean you come up with a good idea for a great article you write up the whole thing, work hard to make it as good as possible and in the end the reward you get for this is a couple of cents. I guess a lot of people have already considered this and have made the decision of no longer doing this. And I say this because I look at the the trending articles on these platforms and, first of all they are not very well written and second even these trending articles are getting small rewards. Take into account that the trending posts are mostly written by the same people, but their income has every day been decreasing. And I think where this can be seen the most is on Hive, which at one time was considered a platform that could only go up with all the apps, games and other things that were being developed there.

Now imagine how things are going for people who barely get any votes. It just doesn't make sense to continue. And if you just have, say Steem in your wallet it has lost value like crazy this year. i have 2,700 and odd Steem and it is hardly worth over $100.00, and selling that Steem I bet will be a difficult enterprise. Steem is now worth less than five cents and I see no reason for this price to go up. So say you are an Orca with 50,000 Steem, the value of this is $2,500.00 and you put in an incredibly large number of hours to get there, or even worth, you purchased it at $0.15 and are actually losing a large chunk of money.

Now I know this is happening because the whole World is goingt through some changes which I have no ide where they are heading, but these movements have affected crypto hard, really hard and tokens like Steem have taken the biggest hits. But at least Steem is still on some exchanges, a token like Blurt which is now worth less than $0.002 is not listed anywhere and I think will tend to disappear. that will be abd for me because I worked to reach over 50,000 Blurt and that is likely lost. The only thing that makes it bearable for me is that any article I have posted on any platform has only taken me minutes to write. I am fast, to the point and also happen to be a lousy writer so even my expectations are not that high.

It is kind of sad to be seeing this, these tokens have at some moments been a lifesaver for me when I have had to sell them, which hase been several times. This year I wanted to get to be a dolphin on Steemit but have given up on that. As I said I have 2,700 Steem and I guess I will be left holding that, who in his right mind will buy these tokens? But I really see no scenario in which any of these tokens makes a come back. I really hope no people are hurt too much financially, but I really think the age of crypto social platforms is over.

As for crypto itself I do believe it can make a come back but uses and expectations will necessarily change.
